No, not at home, home, silly – at HOME, the new cafe in Castle Cary, not far from Bruton, in south-east Somerset, which has only been open about three weeks. It serves delicious, inventive, Italian-influenced food – that just happens to be vegetarian.Read more
A former tearoom enjoys the golden (crisp, lightly battered) touch of Somerset’s Super Chef Josh Eggleton to become the Salt & Malt fish cafe, restaurant and tearoom. It’s in a fab location overlooking the Chew Valley Lake – actually the largest artificial reservoir in the west country – in north Somerset.

The Railway Carriage Café (now with a brand new – old – big, green double-decker bus around the back) is a quirky, eccentric place to come and enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake or, on a Thursday and Friday evening, a wood-fired pizza.
