Muddy says – browse and buy Modern British 20th century, European and contemporary art in this intimate gallery close to Wells
After a career working as a graphic designer for London’s leading agencies and the beauty industry – and a collector of art – for over 20 years, Ellie Jones decided to share her passion for paintings and sculpture by opening a gallery.
The Andelli Art gallery lies within her own home, a Victorian former hospital in South Horrington on the outskirts of Wells, where she lives with her family. The idea was to offer an intimate and informal setting to look at and buy art, and to allow buyers to visualise easily how a work will look in a home environment. And she’s totally pulled it off.
The artworks are those that appeal to her directly (she’s got great taste) and it’s a laid back, small-scale space rather than a big white cube.
Andelli Art stocks Modern British 20th century, European and contemporary paintings and sculptures. Artists include Duncan Grant, John Bratby, Olivia Kemp and Laurence Edwards. The gallery also sells quirky, original and vintage jewellery.
Want to buy an artwork for someone but haven’t a clue what to choose? Problem solved: buy them an Andelli Art gift card.
The gallery is proud to be a sponsor of Wells Art Contemporary (WAC), an international contemporary visual arts competition.
There are lots of exciting exhibitions throughout the year – so watch this space.
