Suit the City
Muddy says – Need a beautifully made bespoke suit, shirt or jacket that fits perfectly but without the Saville Row price tag? You’ve come to the right place
Suit the City’s been decking out natty dressers of both sexes in London and the home counties since 2007. Now – lucky us – the made-to-measure tailoring service has come to Somerset.
Whether you want a smart suit for business or a wedding, a crisp new shirt, or a jacket and chinos for the weekend, Suit the City will sort you out.
Visit consultant tailor Mike Lane in his studio in Queen Square in Bath or if you haven’t got the time to pop in, he’ll come and visit you in your home or workplace anywhere in Somerset. He’ll measure you up and guide you through a wide range of styles and over 3,000 different fabrics, including Merino wool, cashmere and linens from Saville Row’s Holland & Sherry. Then it’s time to add all the bespoke detailing, for example, in the case of a suit: statement linings, contrast stitching … a monogram, perhaps?! Once the garment’s been made, you’ll go back for a fitting so that Mike can make any small adjustments to ensure that everything all fits like a glove (or, indeed a bespoke suit).
So back to that price tag: how much will all of this set you back? Perhaps surprisingly, a Suit the City full-piece men’s suit starts at just £600.
