The Cross at Croscombe
Muddy says: The Cross bridges the gap between a small, boutique hotel and a traditional B&B, offering the personal service and local knowledge associated with a well run B&B and the high quality fixtures and fittings of a first-rate hotel.
The Cross at Croscombe has caused quite a stir since it opened in 2014. This 15th century building has scooped numerous awards including, ‘Tourism & Hospitality Business of the Year’ in the 2016 Mendip Business Awards.
The Cross bridges the gap between a small, boutique hotel and a traditional B&B. It brings together the best aspects of each: the personal service and local knowledge that you would associate with a well run B&B and the high quality fixtures and fittings of a first-rate hotel.
All five bedrooms are en-suite and most have king size beds. Two of the rooms are ideal for families and one has a modern kitchenette for those that prefer self-catering. The dining area has oak beams, flagstones and an inglenook fireplace. There is also a spacious lounge and courtyard garden.
The owner and convivial host is Terri. She is happy to cater for private parties and events. The Cross often hosts special foodie nights where guests can enjoy locally sourced produce cooked by an award-winning chef. A winning combination. It’s always worth contacting Terri to discuss your party plans.
The pretty village of Croscombe is three miles from the cathedral city of Wells.
