Reader Treats Just For You!

Anyone for cocktails?

Set yourself up for a glam night in courtesy of the Bath Decorative Antiques Fair. Just add booze and you.

You never know quite what you’ll discover at the Bath Decorative Antiques Fair, now in it’s 30th year (Happy Birthday!).

Could be a gorgeous table from an Italian country house or a large-scale industrial counter; a set of mid-century Nordic chairs or a hand hewn artisan stool; verdigris garden statuary or a pair of 1950s Hollywood earrings.

Thinking we should inject a bit of glamour into a grey February, we’ve curated a sophisticated night in chez Muddy from the eclectic selection of goodies on offer.

First, take one classic leather club chair.

Or maybe something a little funkier? Psychedelic, man.

Next, add candles.

Turn on a low light.

The 30th Bath Decorative Antiques Fair is open to the public on Friday 8 March and Sat 9 March from 11am – 5pm and on Sunday 10 March between 11am – 4pm. Work in the trade?  You can take a sneaky peek on Thurs 7 March between 12 noon – 5pm. Come on the Saturday and meet jet setting antiques buyer Toma Clark Haines (aka The Antiques Diva, who runs antique buying tours around the world) who’s stopping off at Bath to take a look around the Fair.

Tickets to the Fair are £5 but you can get a FREE TICKET here.
