Fabulous mid-century-inspired light boxes designed and made in a Somerset workshop

Retro bird, available in 3 design variations

We’re loving these quirky retro light boxes from Beyond the Fridge. Husband and wife team Amanda and Duncan left careers in London running their own award-winning design company, to come to Frome and create ‘beautiful and distinctive things for the home that you wouldn’t ordinarily find on the high street’. So at Beyond the Fridge, you’ll find mid-century inspired place mats, coasters, splash backs, magnetic boards, chopping boards, tea towels, doormats and ceramics – and these fabulous light boxes.

Butterfly, available in 2 colours

Amanda has created eight different designs but some are available in alternative colourways or design variations, making 15 options in all.  Finding it difficult to decide which light box you like the best? No problem: the textured glass slides are inter-changable, so you can slip a different slide into the box to suit your mood or change the atmosphere.

Aquarium, available in 4 colours

The light boxes, which are made in Beyond the Fridge’s Somerset workshop,  can stand alone or you can attach them to a wall. They’re 30.5cm x 28 cm and 5 cm deep,  and come supplied with low-voltage (warm) LED lights, a 12v plug-in power supply and a cool red cable.

Each light box costs £85. You can buy additional glass slides separately for £18.
