Tap Factory ‘aint Fred Astaire putting on his top hat and tails; it’s six macho men taking off their shirts and tapping their way fast and furiously through percussive break dance, hip hop and aerial acrobatics – with some Chaplinesque comedy thrown into the mix. Richard Chappell Dance triple bill, Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre, Taunton, Tues 19 April

Richard Chappell Dance - Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre TauntonThe triple bill at the Tacchi-Morris Arts CentreIRIS analyses adolescent experiences of London’s club culture (might ring a few bells?) and nyctophobia (fear of the dark); The Vast Rocks moves from the city to the landscape of the south west; and Burnt Norton uses T.S Eliot’s poem of the same name to explore the idea of getting lost within oneself. By the way, did you know that the second of Eliot’s Four Quartets was called East Coker and that his ashes are interred at the church in the south Somerset village?
