The Griffin Inn, Bath
Muddy says: Stylishly revamped Georgian inn with eclectic menu, 300 spirits and liqueurs and eight comfy bedrooms in the centre of the city
Located on quiet Monmouth Street just off the Southgate centre end of Milsom Street, the Griffin Inn is the ideal lunch time pit stop for shoppers or other days-out-in-Bath, pre-theatre diners, drinks after work or an evening out.
Recently renovated and under new management, the Georgian inn has been brought into the 21st century with reclaimed oak floors, antiqued silvered glass walls and quirky objets and light fittings.
The menu’s eclectic – from pub classics to South African dishes – and they do a mean Sunday roast.
Booze? Over 300 different spirits and liqueurs, including 100 gins, 100 tequilas and mezcals, a predominantly New World wine list, real ales and half price prosecco every Wednesday!
Eight rather lovely bedrooms for a weekend or night away.
You could just pop in for one of their home-cooked breakfasts.
And there’s that half price prosecco every Wednesday.
