The Finals have been decided! The Winners have been chosen – by you – the good people of Somerset and Bath!

If you’re a regular reader (or voter!) you’ll know that The Muddy Awards are free to all and run as a good-natured, positive celebration of the most brilliant, unique and unmissable businesses across the Muddy counties. Thousands of you voted in the Somerset Awards across 24 lifestyle categories, showing how much we all appreciate independence and creativity. In some categories, votes were incredibly close, with only a few votes in it.

From yours truly, it’s a heartfelt and whopping great THANK YOU and multiple love emojis to everyone who took part or voted.

But enough from me. Want to see who won? Of course you do! All fabulous and worthy of your applause and hopefully quite a few businesses you don’t already know about, so you can use them to plan your fun for the rest of 2018!

I’m sure all your winners have wonderful popular businesses but your slogan says ‘Muddy Stilletos – The Urban Guide to the Countryside’ – so why so many nominations and winners from Bath (hardly countryside) and other large towns. Not quite in the spririt of celebrating the Countryside really is it? Perhaps next year?

All of the nominations, finalists, runners up and winners were decided by the people of Somerset! I’d say there was a pretty good spread of businesses across the county, from those out in the sticks (not even in a village) to those in small towns like Frome and Wincanton (Bruton’s more like a large village than a town) to Taunton and some in Bath.
