OPERA: Dido and Aeneas, Shatwell Farm, between Castle Cary and Wincanton, Sat 29 Sept

Cows, sheep, tractors, buildings by contemporary architects housing thousands of architectural drawings and models from the 16th to 21st century – and just for one night, an opera and a feast. Shatwell Opera’s inaugural event presented in conjunction with Hauser & Wirth Somerset, Drawing Matter and the Architecture Foundation.

Ilminster-based Heidi Warr was once a decorator at Dennis Chinaworks where her works sold for thousands of pounds at Bonham’s. Now she’s creating her own range.

Have a snoop around the studios of established, new and emerging artist makers and discover hidden corners of our gorgeous county. Use their catalogue to plan an art jaunt around two or three and maybe end up in a village pub or cafe….
