XMAS: Curate your Christmas, Andelli Art, South Horrington, nr Wells, Sat 1 – Sat 22 Dec

No need to curate your Christmas, the people at Andelli Art have done it for you. 20th century and contemporary art, jewellery and homewares, including jewellery by Mags Maxwell and Penny Price, studio pottery by Jessie Alcaraz, throws by Howe farm blankets and bespoke Andelli Art candles (in cahoots with Cahn Aromatherapy). Prices from £25 to £1,500. Tues – Sat, 10am – 5pm.

The last time Rosie’s cabaret came to town (well, village), it caused cultural turmoil with posters being torn down or defaced. Eeek. Undeterred, the irrepressible Rosie returns, along with a pole dancer, a contortionist,  tango dancers, ladies of Xanadu,  comedians, a pair of monks, a sort of magician, a DJ and an opera singer. £25 includes glass of Champagne, canapes and minced pies. Proceeds to Frome charity ‘We Hear You’ cancer counselling.

Forget Nanny McPhee – the original Supernanny is back. Julie Andrews couldn’t make it but the bloke with the worse Cockney accent ever, is – alongside Emily Blunt as the practically perfect MP.
